Every tradition once started out as an innovation.
Kai-Uwe Jobst, Managing Associate

Foundation

JO·BA GmbH was founded in 1972 as „JO·BA Stall- und Regentechnik GmbH“ by Horst-Dieter Jobst in the town Bassum, Lower Saxony, 25 km south of Bremen. The company name is composed of the first letters of the surname of the company founder Jobst (JO) and the first letters of the former head office Bassum (BA).

The transition from agricultural technology to a new product range is also documented by the change of name to JO·BA Maschinen- und Anlagenbau GmbH. For its achievements in the field of environmental technology, JO·BA was awarded the “International Trophy for Technology” in 1989.

Always with a view to the future

In 1998, Horst-Dieter Jobst and his son Kai-Uwe founded the company JO·BA Pulverbeschichtung GmbH in the Hansaline Industrial Park in Bremen. This company was working in the field of metal surface refinement with environmentally friendly powder coating technology. In addition to the refinement of its own products, it developed in the following years to a quality-conscious contract coating company for the automotive industry, as well as for shop-fitting and metal engineering. During the course of the following years, the company was certified in accordance with ISO 9001:2008 and is today still a quality-conscious partner in the field of powder coating technology.
